WHO has the best price on HK P7 M8 OR M13 in Canada

Just an update, the 1984, lightly used P7M8 that was posted for sale earlier today just sold. $1600 is a steal, wish I had the coin, can't have enough P7's..

I'm on a countdown to get my P7 PSP from Arms East. I hoping for tomorrow, but realisticly I think it will be next week some time.

I saw that one in the Exchange with the IE (1984) date code. 200 rounds for 1984. That's a real collectible gun. I wonder what it sold for in 1984?

Be sure to do a photo review of it of your usual standard! If these are nice enough, I might just have to add one to the collection.

Every few months or so, it is like the CGN forum gets P7 fever. They are cool guns, no doubt. But, the novelty wears off too. Anyone interested in a minty M13, drop me a line.

They definatly have a love-it/hate-it thing about them. Haha, i've seen guys with literally 15 or 20 of the things...the squeeze cocker is different...

I guess they would be a lot nicer if you could use them for their intended use (carry pistol)

I heard this week that the OPP K9 guys used P7s until fairly recently.

Apparently squeeze cockers handy with a leash in your other hand.

Thought that was pretty neat.

They are technically very interesting pistols, and I must admit I really do like them. But, for me, they aren't all that comfortable to shoot. My ring finger gets strained when shooting my M13 for a long time, and my middle finger on the grip hand sometimes gets burned on the M8. They are fun to look at, and the accuracy is fun to observe too. It's just the actually shooting of the P7 I don't like too much

Yah for sure. I'm already thinking of some photo ideas. I actually bought a really weird German "police surplus" holster to go along with my soon to arrive police surplus P7. A guy on ebay was selling some. It has already arrived. It's pretty interesting. It really seems to suit the P7 - as both are quite unusual. If it is police surplus, it is from stock that was never issued to anybody, because the leather is still stiff and brand new.

Apparantly the P7 PSPs that came into the states, and that Walt brought into Canada, are from one of the state police forces in Germany (Landespolizei). I thought I remember hearing that it was Schleswig-Holstein, which is in the very north of Germany. It will be interesting to see what dates codes and serial numbers are on the guns Walt brought in and what we can find out about them from the internet. I'll be sure to share mine. I don't give a damn about gun serial numbers any more. C'mon P7! Can't wait. I got two mags with mine. Mags were really tight on what Walt could get - two is the most I could get, and I had my name in on extra mags right from the get-go in August - but two is good. I can probably find a couple more later on.

They're elegant but high maintenance. Cleaning is a chore, going to get an ultrasonic cleaner for mine. Changing parts....looks pretty tough. I picked up a ton of spare parts for mine. Includes multiples of the sear bar and firing pin bushing which tend to be the 'classic' parts that fail/break.

Still I love the gun. I like the 1911 second best and only because I can detail strip it easily. If I factored out cleaning/maintenance/repair, I wouldn't bother with the 1911.

UncleWalther, quit pickin' on the M10 ;) and give me a shout on the M13. It might need to find it's way home again.

For the record, once you pick one up, you will "get it" as mentioned. The first time i did I was hooked, and am well on my way to going broke over these damn things.

bbartsch and I seem to be always selling P7s back and forth. At the moment, I think the scale tips in his favour a bit. B, if you want the M13, you've got first dibs. I'll send a PM.
