First 1851 Navy you held

I bought an old antique from a friend for 900 bucks and was told i was swindled.
He sold me an 1851 Navy Colt made in 1853 all original but the wedge.
I took it to my gunsmith and he milled and shimmed the cylinders arbor bore
and made a washer shim for the endshake.
20 yrds 2" the first time I got it back from him.

You are very lucky to have access to a competent smith. They are rare these days!

Certainly not swindled . Had one some 30 years ago , a delight to hold.
