I would like to buy an SKS, my primary concern is accuracy, and safety. Now should I look for a Chinese, a Russian, or a Yugo. Is there a more sought after model, what's going to be available?
Check out the Equipment Exchange (EE) forum below on this site.

Then look for a Yugo SKS or place a wanted to buy (WTB) ad for the same. Yugo SKS' are very well made with milled, not stamped parts, but they do not have chromed barrels.
I favor the Yugo SKS Model 59 because it is lighter and less complex than the grenade firing Model 59/66.
However, since you will be shooting corrosive ammo, you should clean any SKS right after you finish firing it (hour or two) so the lack of the chrome bore is not an issue.
