Muzzle Thread on 7.62x39mm MCR rifle

Does anyone know what the muzzle thread on the MCR rifle is? Officially it is 5/8x28TPI but I don't even see that on my Tap-drill chart.

I thought 5/8" muzzle devices were 5/8x24TPI.

Can anyone provide a picture with calipers?
 
What are you trying to do?

Do you have a rifle threaded for 5/8x24 or 5/8x28 ? Trying to measure which it is? I think the majority of 5/8" diameters are threaded for 24 tpi.

What would you want in a picture with calipers?

To count the threads over a distance.
 
24 tpi are about .042" apart...
28 tpi are about .036" apart...

thread pitch gauges are used to measure threads accurately
