mine upper handguard is wiggle a little bit, up and down.
is there anyway to fix it? thank you all

there are several reports of this problem now. i havent actually seen this problem so i cant comment on a fix but you paid good money for it and you shouldnt have to fix it yourself. depending on the severity, i know it would annoy me besides who would want a repaired one should i decide to sell it, unless i sold it at a discount.

im sure TI will either refund your money or replace it so check with them. i would take a replacement if they have one in stock (they keep certain amount for situation like this, they did for the LMG) but if they offer you refund then thats a tougher decision.

All upper handguards kind of wiggle a little, there is a spring. But you can always make it tighter by adding some material and make it look nice. I actually find it nicer when they have some play, so you can easily remove it, unlike some Russian SKS.

The only thing I have an issue with is my Kobra sight for the type 81. One of the dials is screwed up and I can’t zero it (adjust screw is stuck and won’t unscrew). Sent tactical imports an email last week and they still haven’t got back to me yet. Looks cool on the gun though.

My unlock screws had been very tight. I had to hold the adjustment knob with rubber gloves and undo the lock screws. I had indentations on my hand thru the gloves when I was done.

I’m still waiting on the proper side rail, as I had received the wrong one.

My impression of the Kobra is that it’s not worth the headache, unless you want an authentic Russian sight.

who cares about an "authentic Russian sight" on an authentic Chinese rifle.

I bought mine cause it looks cool

Not that its my thing but I'm not sure why folks get upset about someone taking advantage of a market on a totally discretionary item. Its not like its food, medication or something you really need to exist. If I don't like a price no matter how excessive it seems I just move on.

Agreed, if you don’t like the price, don’t buy it and don’t let it spoil your afternoon. EE / used car / bike / whatever pricing gossip is like the man version of teenage girl gossip, “did you see what that girl…” Who cares, if I don’t like the price I make a polite offer at what I think it’s worth or I just walk on, if I see a $5k Type 81 soon I’ll wish the fella and his exuberance all the best, and I won’t buy it. But I won’t be the least bit perturbed by it, either.

I can not get my lock screw off to save my life, my elevation one is impossible.

Will shoot a Chinese rifle but not optic.. makes sense

Complete sense. Chinese military issue rifle vs Chinese Russian optic clone.... One works for its intended use, and the other also works for its intended use.... which is airsoft. A Vortex optic made in China ? Sure, i own them. Made in China, but designed, marketed and QC by Americans for the firearms industry.
