That was an interesting video. Much of what he said about what's going on in Australia, can be seen here in Canada and indeed around the world.
The slow and steady march towards civilian disarmament, under the guise of public safety, is a global trend. The reality is, there isn't a single example of civilian disarmament that hasn't resulted in serious consequences for the population.
I did like his take on Martin Niemöller's poem "First they came for." Sadly, human nature is to turn a blind eye to wrongdoing so long as you're not personally affected... And as Niemöller said in the last line of his poem: "Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."
When it comes to the Shooting Sports, I believe they are doomed. Many will disagree with me, but I would simply point to the inability of members within our own community to support each other. In that regard, we are our own worst enemy.
To anyone involved in the Shooting Sports, who for whatever reason are not supportive of ALL your fellow shooters, I would simply ask you think about the consequences of your choice. While you may not be affected now, your day is coming...
