It's covered under warranty. Reach out to vortex, and they'll set you up. You pay shipping in, they pay for shipping on the way back. They just tweaked a 5-25 PSTII of mine that was having issues, and it was there and back in a few weeks.
 
Make sure the battery cap is tight. If it is then send it back to Vortex and they will take care of it for you.
