Lowest Recoil 12 Gauge Slugs

Ending up using the 2-3/4" Challengers. The recoil was no problem after I pointed out on the box "Low Recoil".

They're nicely accurate too in my gun. And available in bulk locally.

Still going to seek out the mini shells to see for myself if they'll cycle.
 
I've played with a few slugs - Score and S&B are quite reasonable. Aguila mini-slugs kick a little less but for the reliability of cycling and cost I find the S&B my usual first choice for a target slug.
 
I like the challengers and they have the same poi as full 1oz federals at 25y so great for practice before hunting.
 
Just to note - the Challenger Tac Low-Recoil I bought were in a metal ammo can for about $70/ 175 rounds. Don't know if those are still avail in that can, I got the last at my LGS ;-0 ! but I've seen them on-line elsewhere for about that price.
EDIT - TYPO THAT I MISSED - S/B $ 170/ 175 tax incl LAST SUMMER !!! Still, now vendors are ca $200+ tax + shpg

Looks like inflation rears its ugly head. For 175 rounds, it appears they are all over $200. They are still in the metal tin...

WOW !! 300 % increase !! Where's that 5% inflation when you want it ? And I thought I was being "Greedy" when I bought the last 2 cans. And 'passed' on the OO Buck he had for the same price !! I did get all his "Medium" .22 ammo, incl 2x SKS Magazine for $60/can.
EDIT AGAIN :rolleyes: - Using the prices in my previous post EDIT the Increase is actually about 25-30% PLUS shipping unless you're within driving distance.
