I bought a .308 1/10 5R Heavy .920" Steel Prefit barrel from them over a year ago, and installed it on a Remington action, in a MDT XRS Chassis. I have shot about 250 rounds through it doing load development for 168gr, 175gr and 185gr bullets. It consistently shoots sub-MOA at 300 meters, with the loads that produce the low SD & ES numbers shooting under 1". The fit was flawless, and their muzzle brake fit perfectly. I will be changing the barrel on my .223 Weatherby soon and I will be getting another barrel from IBI.

I have one on my Tikka t1x and it's been fantastic! Shots even the cheap stuff quite well!! Mine particularly likes sk flatnose and i plink with cci sv with really good results.

Does anyone know if IBI offers shouldered prefits (Defiance, Bighorn etc)? They're not listed on their website, but a couple of posts on another forum claimed that they do.

I would send them an e-mail and ask. They didn't have barrels for Weatherby listed on their web-site, but Marco got back to me saying they could fit a shouldered barrel on mine.

They do. I asked about shouldered prefits a while ago. At the time the shouldered barrels were $899 I believe

Are they guaranteed headspaced?

Had a 26'' carbon iBi chambered in 6.5 prc 8 twist, easy to develop a load for shot 156 bergers very well

They will only do a shouldered barrel if you send the action in. Just asked about it.

That's unfortunate. Would be nice if they could spin it up with just the tenon print so long as your action is held tight enough to those measurements
