Title says it all... I got mine yesterday. The special reads 19.99 for the caliper but it scanned at 14.99... no complaints here.

Anyhowm I thought I'd just post the heads up.

cheers,

I saw the ad also. Strange it scanned at a lower price except that the $ 14.99 was the sale price about 2 months ago. Maybe the 19.99 was a misprint.

I see that in the same flyer that they have 3 packs of Master trigger locks, keyed alike.

Caliper

Bought one last month. The damn battery that came with it died this weekend. Oh well....

I've had one of these for a couple of years. I like being able to switch from Imperial to Metric with the push of a button, sometimes its otherwise hard to tell which system the part you are working on is made with.

It just won't keep batteries in it. Even a good quality Duracell won't hold long. Within a few weeks or under 2 mos the display will start to flash when turned on indicating a low battery. It will hold for months after that but you have to put up with the flashing display.

The solution, as mentioned, is the dollar store. I got a card of 6 batteries for $1! So I'll keep it and just change out batteries as rqrd.

Batteries in my Mitutoyo last about three years, constant on. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

I love my Mitutoyo!!!

A friend of mine who is a fellow CGN'r use to work for Canadian Tire in product testing and he said those calipers were actually descent. No accuracy issues anyway.
