Before the OIC hit, there was at least one for sale there for around $450, IIRC. ...

Oh man I would really like to buy one of these SKS-15's. Perhaps they could come up with a SKS-16 thats easy and fast to clean. That would make it a great for plinking.

It's already been done. Years ago. It's called the SKS-45.

If you really want to be so "tactical" get a regular SKS in a Tapco or ATI stock. They use detached magazines and clean exactly like a regular SKS. No difference. You can find them on the EE. I have two Tapco SKS's and I'm happy how they shoot.
