Hello everyone,

I kicked around the idea of building a 300 h&h a few years ago and it never came to fruition due to a career change. Now I’ve got the itch again. Long and short I’m looking for some tips on left handed Mauser actions. I would’ve bought a Zastava in 375 h&h but it seems every time I want to buy a rifle I can’t find the one I want. I’ve scoured google and no luck. So if any one has a line on a left handed Mauser action that will fit the bill please let me know.

I want the controlled round feed and a 300 h&h for nostalgic purposes only. I’m not really interested in much else. I figure if I’m going to shell out for a custom rifle I’ll get what I want.

Thanks in advance,

Jesse

You could use a lh Model 70 action too, if you can find a long action w/ magnum bolt face in a late model production model w/ claw extractor (7mm Rem Mag or 300 Win Mag). Not common, but are out there. The limited run FN manufactured rifles are well built with great fit and finish and nice wood.

That is a great price.

Jesse, snag that rifle and get it to your gunsmith. Pictures and a range report once you get it up and running, please!

Prophet River has a LH Winchester Model 70 416 Rem that really just needs a new barrel. It’s more money, but might be cheaper in the long run.

Thanks Chuck, again just basing my info off what the guy on the phone told me. I’ve pulled the trigger on it. Thanks to everyone for their help on the matter.

Don't delay getting a line on a bbl. Carbon steel bbls are harder to find in Canada. I got mine from Ron Smith.
