WS-MCR compatibility

I had the opportunity to try my gen2 PMAGS on my MCR that acquired earlier this month. They work fine. However, they're not drop-free and would not be first choice for this platform.
 
I was very glad to read this . I just received the other day, I have not had a chance to shoot it. But yes the pmag gen 2 fits but I don't think they will drop free. Maybe after some wear and tear?
I'm not really fond of the folding stock I got but it is robust and maybe after I hit the gym for another year or two it will be easy to unfold and fold ?
 
Anyone have experience with carbon fiber handguards? Could that make any difference in the frontal weight of the WS-MCR since barrel options are seemingly rare... un less I'm mistaken.

Bump to see if anyone has anything else to add to the list? I've seen a few hand guards (in Wolverine's posts) that must be compatible (as they're on MCRs). Looks like a MI and possibly a KAC?
 
Based on what I see the Aero handguards with the BAR nut are unlikely to be compatible. You'd have to cut into the nut to get it to work.

I'd be interested to know if any BCM handguards are compatible (or reasonably modifiable) for a full BCM build.

Also interested if anyone makes the upturned bolt handle that is on the 180B.
 
Polymer Beowulf mags do not run. I got 1/5 to shoot but bolt must be open and likely only works because I slammed it in hard enough on a closed bolt that I widened the lips and wore down the bolt catch. So effectively wont work.

Troy battle mags also needed an open bolt. Would not lock on a closed bolt with 5/5 rnds inside.

Last I looked the only one in stock was in their used section.

Hopefully that means all MI G3 series handguards work (as K series is just for Keymod whereas m series is Mlok, if memory serves). Good news as those are nice hand guards!
 
Hi, couldn’t find if this was answered or not.

Would a gas block from a WK work with a MCR?

I want to pick up a handguard from MRA, but apparently they only work with a WK due to the thinner gas block. Thanks
 
Has anyone had issues with gen 3 pmags on the new spec 18p lower? 90% of the time I get failure to feed. Kinda bummed so far, it shipped to me with a pmag and I haven't even been able to shoot it.
