Honestly, I did try and find the answer myself.

In the local buy and sell a fellow has some magazines for sale.

They are marked for the 50 Beowulf caliber, but says they fit anything that takes an AR style mag.

They will hold many 223 rounds, but I seem to recall that these are not allowed to be used.

I know 9mm fit in a 40 cal magazine for a Glock with no issues, so does the same apply to these mags I saw for sale.

Somthing tells me I should stay away from these and stick to the LAR PISTOL mags stamped as such.

The other reason I think this is sketchy is there is no phone number in the ad, just what I would say is a disposable one time email address

They were legit to own but the RCMP changed their mind and now say that they are inherently designed for the 5.56 AR . So must be pinned to two rounds of 50 Beowulf so they cannot hold more than 5 5.56. Again this is only a RCMP opinion and has not been contested in court

They are legal to own, the RCMP has given an opinion but this is not law, as such they are legal to own and use until proven otherwise.
