I am in the market for a new Beretta 92 series. It seem that over the past few years Beretta has added a lot of models/ options to their line up. I have always lusted after a 92 Elite II but I have not seen one for sale in years and am willing to go for something else. I had a 92fs long ago which I enjoyed and I have had a Girsan y16 Compact (Centurion size). I would like to try out one of the newer offerings, preferable in a Centurion size but with removable front site. I have been eying the Elite LTT and the 92X GR centurion but I can't seem to find a GR of the latter, I have only seen the FR available north of the 49.

Any thoughts? Who has what and how do you like it?
Post some pics too!

I'm with you on the Elite II. For me right now it would be the LTT all the way. they are well reviewed. Some great deals on them right now too.

Borrowed a friends Wilson Combat Brig Tac for a week a few months ago. If DA/SA was my thing I’d consider one. Nice trigger for what it is and well finished. Don’t care for the U-notch rear sight but that’s very personal and easy to replace.

There’s an LTT in the EE at the moment. Wilson’s seem to pop up in there every few months as well.

I'd probably just buy the 92X FR, then buy a G-conversion kit for it. They are reasonably priced and usually available from several retailers. Before I built my Poor man's LTT Elite RDO, I had the 92A1 and I was planning on investing time into modding it (grips, trigger, sights, G-conversion, extended mag catch). I ended up swapping to an M9A1 just because it had the drop-in compatibility with LTT RDO slides. The fact that the LTT slides already came with G model decocker made the choice a bit easier since it meant one fewer modification to buy and install.

If you're into it, the new RDO models from Beretta are very compelling but I think LTT's mounting solution is better. It sits lower, looks better (IMHO), and comes with suppressor sights already. For my money I'd choose LTT if I wanted an RDO pasta blasta.

Thanks for the insight. I had been considering just doing the G swap. I don't really have any desire to out an RDO on the Beretta but I do agree that the LTT mounting solution is much more elegant.
It looks like my "Pasta Blasta" acquisition will have to wait until the new year as I over did it a little on Black Friday! But that's ok, gives me more time to do research and decide what I really want.

here is a pic of my brand new Centurion 92X , I was a 92 / 96 old school guy but the Vertec grip always captivated me and now I own one, what a totally beautiful version of the 92, all metal parts in these new 92X berettas!! It came with three steel magazines, hard case and two sets of grips

Thanks for posting pics! That thing looks sweet. I maintains the classic line some what with out going too tactical. Did you get an F/S or a G version? How does it shoot?

Thanks !!

Its got a decock/safety, test fired so far, very nice, its basically a compact with a proper grip, I sold my full size beretta, much prefer the centurion size

I got a LTT 92G. I love it. I almost bought a new Elite II years ago on sale but was bocking at the price. Now i can kick myself. The LTT 92G is dam nice pistol so when it came on sale i did not wait, love the look of it.

That is a killer deal on a 92 Elite II. Too bad it's in .40. probably why the price is so good. Thanks for sharing.

I did recently acquire a new (to me) Beretta. The model 92X Centurion. Picked it up from a fellow CGN'er. I am very impressed with it and will be writing up a thread about my inital thoughts and then a range report so stay tuned folks.

Here is a teaser pic...
