I've heard of this place before but never ordered. Are they good to go? They have a nice price on an optic I'd like to try. Any surprises when your order arrives in terms of additional charges? I was going to opt for FedEx Express option. Thanks in advance.

Dealt with them a few times. The only problem, and it's not their fault, is the amount of time it takes to get a shipment from Europe.

I ordered a mount from them recently. I think it was about $35 shipping and brokerage. I recieved the order within 2 weeks
Any additional cost when it arrived?
Do not use FedEx international, UPS is much faster
I am currently processing a return with them on a mount they insisted would fit but did not. I will see how it goes before I give any further judgement, not too happy about them claiming it would work 2x when I had it in hand and it did not

I think it was 175 dollars for that and couriered shipping
Well worth it
I didn't pay for the faster shipping, just international mail delivery.
I've had REALLY bad experiences with Fedex on international shipments with their "bend over" customs brokerage fees.

I have bought a couple of scopes and a couple of mounts from them. Easy, painless, and reasonably economical. I chose postal delivery, courier is a poor option for me in my rural location.

Deal with confidence. They are very knowledgeable as well if you have questions. They even sourced a part for me from Czechoslovakia for an obsolete gun.
Agreed! Optics Trade is a superb company to buy from! I paid for UPS expedited w/ included duty and paid $0 upon receipt. The only issue was stupid UPS who are to dumb to organize paperwork for brokerage and power of attorney. I saved over $1000 from buying off a Canadian “dealer”. I bought 4000 Euro worth of glass…..
Ordered a pair of Leica Geovids from them on February 3. They gave me a 2-4 week delivery time. They still don't have them and are telling me they should have them in another two weeks. I'm leaning toward unhappiness.
probably waiting on leica to ship them.
