Wanting an over/under for hunting but would really like a Stainless . I know Ruger used to make a stainless Red Label but stopped years back. Does anyone know if there are any Stainless over/unders available these days?
Thanks

Stainless does not get used much for shotguns, in general. The various "marine" grade pumps tend to be nickel plated or get some other coating. The grade of stainless most commonly used for barrels, 416R, would not be a good choice for the thin wall of a shotgun barrel, and I suspect the manufacturers have used that as an excuse to avoid stainless in the application.

No. Chromium is less dense than iron, so adding that element to make a steel "stainless" makes it less dense, not more.

Not that it matters. If fighting corrosion is a priority, a few extra grams of material is not an important consideration.

I recently (in the past year) purchased a stoeger outback. It is stainless, shorter barrel O/U with a blackened walnut stock and handguard. Worth a gander.

I believe there was a stainless Swedish made over/under called the Caprinus, made as a trap gun about 30 - 35 years ago. Even at that time they were well over $5000, about double the price of a Perazzi then. If my poor memory serves me they only made about 100 of them and they lost money on every one. I’ve only seen one, owned by the Canadian importer in Edmonton.
