Ontario Mandatory Reporting Penalty Decision

AFAIK, there's no loss of hunting privileges, but next time you go to get a tag, there would probably be a $20 increase per tag. And no, no need to keep a journal lol. Not sure why it's so hard for anyone to write 52/43/55 (for example) on the calendar, as they want total days, they 100% do not ask for hours hunted.

I'm not a waterfowler, but how can you hunt birds that much without being in violation of limits, either daily or possession within a few days? I'm not implying anything dodgy on your part, but like limits with fishing,if you have a good day, you're going to be releasing fish if you go the next day. Hard to release a bird that fell out of the sky:)

Do they have possession limits for geese? In Ontario no possession limit for Canada geese or snow geese!

Bottom line is, in ONT its maybe a 2 min survey. It helps the MNR make decisions.
Don't want to do it? ok so don't.
No whining when you can't buy tags though...be an adult and all that goes with it.

Lots of US places have mandatory deer check stations.
So the first place you go is the check station to fill out your report.
If you think an online survey is time consuming, try driving 30 miles to the check station.

Its just getting f***ing stupid with the government "over reach"...buy a lic., only hunt what I (the government) deem is your privilege, only hunt between this date and that which I (the government) will allow you, only hunt which hours I (the government) deem appropriate, only harvest what class of animal I (the government) deem premissable , only hunt by the methods which I (the government) deem allowable, and report as I (the government) deem necessary.

If you don't report, I (the government) will fine you.

If your native, disregard all I (the government) deem as mandatory for whitey to participate in the feeding of his/her/they/thay family.

You're only a "Poacher" if you are a non- status indigenous person.

If the natives are not obligated to complete the survey then any results are completely and utterly useless and those of you who are on your high horses are clueless on the effectiveness and most likely the purpose of this survey.

We've seen what happens with no season/limits in Ontario. Turkeys were wiped out!

Do it online. It only takes a minute or so for each tag you held.

Seasons and limits are only going to work if they apply to all equally, and populations are NOT reducing.

The Indigenous population in Canada was 1,800,000 based on 2016 census data, and that figure is expected to rise in all provinces and territories.

According to StatCan projections, the Indigenous population could jump by nearly 40 per cent, reaching 2,495,000 in 2041, based on the slowest-growth-rate scenario.

How would natives hunting on crown land in anyway invalidate surveys done in zones without crown land? If there are poachers in my zone (and it's a safe bet they're in every zone) does that now make what I've seen out hunting less valid?

You have no answer, it's that simple, just subtle potshots. Nothing lacking between these ears. But maybe you can tie this native bashing in with surveys for me, and make me understand this... like the smart guy you are.

Something is simple thats for sure buts not what you think. As for native bashing, when I bash natives (or any other group for that matter) its not subtle, its pretty upfront.

I'm not going to go into a lengthy explanation mostly because you wouldn't understand but suffice it to say, any reporting or data collection is useless if it doesn't take into account a significant portion of the people that affect or are part of what is being looked at do not contribute to the data.

So take your racist accusations and keep quiet because you just continue to highlight your gross ignorance on this topic.
