Hornady modified case

I did a run of tapping cases on my metal lathe . Resized virgins . sounds ####ographic. But when I went to insert the bullet, they were too tight. Used ones were too loose. Turns out I have to make a special expanders, which I will use on a Lee decapping die. Another get a round to it.

The three jaw chuck on the metal lathe makes it easy. But I have used my mill/drill (a HD drill press) to tap 90 degree holes. You set up the drill press to center over the primer pocket, drill your hole, then chuck your tap in the drill chuck. use your chuck key as a handle to turn it.That is the method I used on the metal lathe, I just have an easier set up. You will need a drill press vise with a notch . BusyBee has some decent ones, Groz brand. Until I got my VFD programmed on my lathe, I thought I might have to do that way.

There is enough slop in the plastic rod that few thou doesn't matter.
