Hey guys-don't see BKL mentioned often on CGN, but I've used them a number of times over the years with good results. Looking at ring options for a 457, and wondering if anyone here uses them on theirs? I once used their 1-pc. mount BKL261-MB (I think?) on my first CZ, a 452 Varmint. That's the mount I'm considering, as the scope will likely be a 3-9x40.

Been using WARNE rings the last few times I've needed them, worked fine...but don't love them. Never liked how the top half of the ring has to sort of snap onto the tube.

What are you using on your 457 (pics welcome) and if you have BKL on it..I'd love to hear how they're working.

thanks!

BKL make good rings, popular for air rifles and they are nice because they work with American rimfire grooves and European.

D&L Airguns is a good source.

The trick to using the Warne rings is to insert a pin in each of the holes in the upper ring half (I use 2 Allen keys) and spring it open slightly.

Once you have it open, lower it onto the scope tube and release the tension on the Allen keys. Once in place, they usually slide back and forth to adjust eye relief.

Don't overdo it, or the ring may "take a set" and stay open.
This has worked well for me for several years.

I don't know why Warne uses this design, they're very good rings otherwise.

BKL rings and mounts are very good quality, you can't go wrong with them. I have a set of offsets on my Mossberg 22 mag. They look nice, fit nice and cured my eye relief issue.
