Good thread, you still got the 25 Remington?
Can’t be without that. My Son had it out just the other day. No coyotes showed up tho.

Hi Noel, been awhile since we last communicated! I'm glad you started this post, was an excellent read on cold North West Ontario night, and I mean cold, brrrr!
After the read went and pulled my Rem model 30 Express out and took in all the great quality metal and woodwork that went into these rifles. In today's age of plastic, stainless steel and chassis systems, it's a great break to talk about a classic rifle again!
My 30 Express was made by Remington as a custom for sum one of means, I still can't figure out the Remington custom shop stamps on the barrel? I thought at first it was done by Stoeger customshop rifle made for sum elite of the time? But looking at examples they don't match up with mine. It is built in the Express/African style of the time, all the bell and whistles. The bolt knob checkering would cost $1000 today to duplicate!!!don't ask for pictures as using this phone is as tek savvy as I get
I found a nice express for a project, it had been re-barreled and the stock saw better days! It will become a 9.3x62 Express rifle similar to my 1906 30cal rifle I described above.
And yes Noel the Refield Jr. Mount Will go on this new custom 30 Express![]()
