Hi Guys,

Could/Would anybody be able to recommend a source (from a CGN vendor here, or Amazon) for a decent-quality basic T97-specific rifle sling? (It doesn't have to be Rolex or BFG spec ...)

Thanks.

Incidentally, I ordered a T97 on Monday from a vendor (above) ... and just a few minutes ago noticed it at another vendor (above) for $100 less! It pays to compare prices. :(

Soley Outdoors has them listed in stock. (Site sponsors)

Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Does the BFG Vickers sling have a way to easily accommodate the small "sling attachment points" on the T97?

A more awkward question about protocol. The T97 that I ordered Monday from Vendor A on CGN hasn't shipped yet ... probably tomorrow ... and (as I mentioned) I noticed that Vendor B on CGN has a sale now on the firearm (in stock, they claim) for $100 less ($1099.99). Would it be an ####### move on my part to phone Vendor A and ask if they would consider matching the price? (The VISA charge "went through" immediately on Monday.) Or maybe offer me a credit toward purchasing some accessories. I might add that I have a history with Vendor A ... having purchased a great Norinco 1911 there about 10 years ago.

It is on eBay. Surplus type 95 slings it is around $20 and well worth the money.

Thanks, and yes ... I saw them on eBay. I used to buy a lot of stuff there years ago (got some great deals on used holsters) but haven't purchased there for a long time. As you've probably seen, a fellow CGN'er recommended Solely Outdoors ... so I bought one for $30 ... a bit astounded at the price. And I really had to hold my nose for their flat-rate minimum shipping charge of $25 for a 6 oz piece of nylon webbing. :(
