Judging by the stuff in the brass cans at our range, I'd say hands down it's 308. The usual brass scroungers (of which I am proudly one 
) don't even take it anymore because we all have so much. Everything else that gets thrown into the cans (except rimfire of course) usually finds it's way into one of our garages but we're saturated in 308

Hunters don't shoot hundreds of rounds at a range for fun, but may have most sold caliber rifles.... And we are talking North America, not just Canada, right?
What my original comment was regarding is:
If I went into any gun store across North America and did an inventory check on their entire center fire cartridge collection, what would they carry most of at any given time? And my question includes center fire pistol ammunition as well.
examples could be 7.62x51mm Nato, .303 British, etc
It was my hope that i could get a general agreed upon consensus from East to West. Perhaps some suppliers would care to comment too.

Momma said.. If you can't say something nice ......... Or was that Stevo... Have no idea what you are trying to accomplish even with that explanation... and the calibers you specify are the above mentioned excluded military calibers...
But your average gun shop will have 270, 243, 30-30 308 300 WSM your standard hunting fare.... and probably far more... But

I can tell you what I sold the most of when I was in a sporting goods store up north here. The trend was very clear at the time.
1. 30-30
2. 303 British
3. 30-06
The 30-30 sold about as much as all other centerfire rifles combined! This was about twenty years ago however. No WSM's or RUMS or SAUMS or what the heck ever at the time. Only .22 lr outsold 30-30.
