If the answer is yes, where can I find lead (not steel) BB's in .177 bore?
I am also thinking it would work better for killing sparrows, magpies, etc... than steel plus it doesn't ricochet.

Don't BB guns have a weak magnet that holds the BB that is to be fired in the correct position so it doesn't roll down the barrel?
They are called BB guns because they shoot size BB shot.

I see you are in Calgary, Western Metals up on 32 Ave NE should have 10kg bags of lead shot.
Wow - about 4X the cost of regular BBs. But so are 'Good' .177 pellets. Even 'Cheap' pellets run about $5-10 / 500.
I don't know why a grown man would want to use a BB gun when pellet rifles are available...?
