I might wanna sell my 10/22 to put towards a .45.

But I want a 22 rifle with a scope.
Are any avaialble that are dead reliable and somewhat accurate and fun out of the box, but without spending an arm and a leg?

The answer will probably differ depending on your defenision of "an arm and a leg" but one of the most accurate guns out of the box for under $750 or so and deadly reliable would be the CZ 452. Half inch groups out of the box at 50 yards (so very accurate), very well constructed and a very reasonable price at around $450 + tax.

Other than that there are the savages and marlins but IMO and I am sure many others on here the CZ 452 is WELL worth the few extra dollars spent.

If you look in the equipment exchange as well you could get a used Brno for around the same price - maybe even slightly less that will give you a very accurate and reliable gun.

I have had thousands of rounds through my CZ, with very few misfires (1 or 2 maybe - which was probably becuse of ammo anyway) and I do not in any way regret my purchase. So if I were you I would take a look at the CZ 452.

I am big fun of 597's with heavy barrel. I said it so many times I should be on Remington' payroll by now.

I do have a scoped 10/22 with a thumbole stock, bull barrel, 14x AO scope, some VQ parts, etc.

It's nice and it shoots tight but right now i'd rather use the money for a Glock 21 but get a cheap rifle

The CZ 452 is nice but unless I can get a deal on a used one it'll cost with the scope and all the same if not more than my 10/22

Almost everyone here will recommend a CZ

Am I that predictable? :D

hahaha, yes you are!
But I have to say, If I ever go get another 22 (if i ever get tired of my henry) I am definitely going to get a little sharpshooter CZ.

One of those Savage MK II heavy barrels w/accutrigger. Sweet shooters, and not so tough on the bank account.

Yeah. And that's what convinced me to try them for the first time a few years ago. Several CZ's and Brno's later I'm a big fan and now recommend them too. :D

LOL, go to the CZ forum at RimfireCentral and ask them if you should buy a CZ and see what happens. :p
