Sendaro brass sticking after shot

I am having a brass sticking issue when trying to cycle a round after shooting my sendaro 300 RUM. Basically what is happening is after firing sometimes the bolt is difficult to lift and I have to hit the bolt with my hand quite hard to make the bolt slide back in order to extract the brass. I use hand loads under the max powder charge so I don't think that pressure is an issue-brass shows no signs of pressure.
A friend of mine is experiencing the same issue with his 7mm mag Sendaro.

Does anyone know if this is a common issue plaguing the 700 action?
Thoughts on a fix?
 
Sticky extraction is the first sign of excessive pressure so I wouldn't rule that out. Max loads for one rifle can be excessive for another...

It is also possible there is a problem with the initial extraction engagement... due to damage from repeated hot loads or a poor fit from the factory...

I suggest you reduce your 'maximum' load a couple of grains, fully size the case first so it extracts smoothly... and see what happens ...
 
What guntech said, check for pressure signs on your fired brass. I would thoroughly clean the action, chamber and barrel. Mine gave me similar issue after recently being cerakoted. End result was some overspray that had made its way into the chamber. Cleaned it out well and the problem went away.
 
The brass I’m using has been reloaded 3-4 times max so definitely not sure how much life they have left. Tonight I’ll likely be near the reloading bench so I’ll post my recipe and I’d love to hear opinions.

Maybe I’ll load a couple of light rounds just to compare, that’s a good idea guys.

Reb-Yes the ammo cycles great without firing.

I won’t be able to build anything for a few days but I’ll keep updating as I try things. Thanks for the input
 
Had a similar issue with weatherby vanguard in 300 wmag - seems to be a super tight chamber - had all sorts of sticky bolt with reloads - started to trim brass every load and a wee bit more than given in manual - problem went away - and yes no signs of pressure prior to that

I have a 338 that has scratches perpendicular to the belt, about 1/2” long and stiff extraction. No traditional pressure signs. Any idea what could cause that?

Dirt or foreign material inside the chamber will cause scratches on the brass and hard extraction. Sometimes a good cleaning will solve this but more often it requires polishing of the chamber.
OP this could be your problem as well. Post some photos of your fired casings and I am sure you will get an answer as to whether this my be the source of your grief.
 
I’ve seen a few, mostly recent belted mag model 700’s with rough chambers just in front of the belt. A gunsmith needed to polish the chamber.

Get an imgur account by downloading their free app. Upload some pictures from your phone on there. Then select the pic URL on the imgur pic and paste it in using the picture toolbar button on the top of your cgn post.
