Hello everyone, just wondering on the take down pins on the apc 9k. All the videos I’ve seen your able to take upper apart from lower, mine on the other hand isn’t able to. The take down pin in the front is fixed in place but the rear one opens, so for cleaning it you remove stock and basically it swings open upper still attached. So I’m guessing apc 9k like mine doesn’t take glock lowers which I don’t care for but I was under the assumption upper and lower would detach from each other?

There’s another thread where what you’d have to do is detailed, basically you’d need to drill out the pin and sleeve the upper and maybe the lower too as the pin is a larger diameter. Or make up a larger diameter push pin.

I ended up purchasing the telescopic stock from wolverine today on the phone and asked the question about the Apc9k front take down pin being fixed… he replied that there is a fully auto variant with the apc9k so Canadians Versions need to be pinned?

There is a full auto lower that exists, but it's not like you can go get one at 7/11.

I don't even know if it was actually required or just a precautionary from B&T and Wolverine... but I presume it's something along the lines of to hinder the ease of conversion to FA.

You can probably still swap them. Ask wolverine.

remember the apc was denied i think almost 3 times until they themselves came up with the idea see, we pinned it in place please can i come in now>? rcmp fine. you win this time

i dont think they will ever give out hints or suggestions on how to, you just gotta win in a argument with them otherwose no

what if your plaztoc lower breaks off, are you now in possession of a prohibited device. no i don't think so!

Some guns (like the SCAR) just need to have a full auto trigger (or in the case of the APC I'm guessing here) a full auto lower dropped in, and bam! Full auto. It doesn't matter how "unavailable" the parts are, the RCMP will deem it a converted auto.

That's why the lower is permanently attached, so you can't just drop a new lower into it.

There are guns in Canada already like that, we just hold our breath and hope nobody makes a fuss about it...
