Am I the ONLY Ontario dude still hunting?

I still have my deer tag :( , had a chance on 15th, but totally missed it, coulndt get close enough for a bow

now all the areas that I know are off season:( I dont suppose there is anyone there who would like to point out somewhere where there are still some deers and season is open?

Im off, hopefully tommorow or Friday, for some small game with my son, but I would love to pack my freezer with some venison, especially since other guys in my family put all the meat into sausages, which my wife despises:(

I hunt 365 days of the year. There's always an open season on something. I was out today looking for bunnies and saw this in the snow.

just got my first Xbow last week...only have this sat and sunday to hunt so not sure about getting a tag for 2 days ( still havent sighted in my xbow ) probably will wait for next year

When out for some grouse and bunnies. Only kicked out one, and an owl came and scooped it up about 40 yards ahead of me!

Same some grouse prints off the snowmoblie trails, but snow was pretty deep and I left my snowshoes at home, so came home with nothing yesterday.

I used to hunt late with a bow but since the muzzleloader season we finish in 2 days. How many deer can a family eat? I give my deer to the farmers and never put one in the freezer, moose calf is a different story. We started hunting coyotes and with the 3 mangy ones today we have 9 so far, now these are good eating for you guys instead of tag soup.

Well, yes I was out there but it has been pretty slim the last week or so, since after I got back from a Christmas trip to see my folks near London. I put a pile of hours in the stands since then and did not see so much as a hair. :(

The last two times I was out I had to walk on ice and crusty snow to get to the stands, and every deer for two miles could have heard me going in to them! But both times I could also hear deer moving around within a hundred yards or closer - kept my interest up and kept me in the stand a lot longer than I would have spent.

Season is done and I still have two tags left, one is my general buck tag (good for antlerless at my hunt camp) and an antlerless for the area just north of me. But they allowed me to hunt for an extra two weeks! :)

I have the equivalent of three deer in the freezer, and that is a bit on the light side for my family. Most years we eat four. But last night for NYE I had this funny stuff called BEEF. It was a rib steak and I had paid a fair penny for it, and the damn thing was awful. Hell, I even shovelled off my back deck so I could BBQ it!

I have been out three times for yotes since christmas. Heard them everynight leaving but couldnt get one to come in. Hunting near my parents house.

I was out there up until a day ago hunting grouse. Need to go renew my small game sticker and I will likely be back out there hunting wabbits this winter in -20/-40. Cold doesn't bother me! :D

Well - I made my debut coyote hunting on the 31'st. I had the good fortune of being invited down to the Lindsay area to hunt with some of the local cognoscenti.
Here's a twist - they use hounds specifically bred to track coyotes and wolf. I must say, those coyotes are fast and cagey! We had quite a day, saw five in total, managed to bag one.
Interesting pastime - think I'll try it up north. Will have to modify the regimen as pushing hounds through deep snow and tight bush would be difficult.
