6.5 PRC data for those interested

Hey
I finally got to test some powder today.
It was late when I got to the range so I was shooting very fast.
Gun is a Tikka TX3 CTR 24 inch barrel.
Powders I was using were RL26,H1000,8133.

Hornady 143 ELD-X

I only chronied some of loads.

My CTR is listed 24" barrel but is actually 23.8" - you sure yours is 22"?

You’re correct, I just checked.
It’s the same as yours.

I had no pressure signs at all.

Hornady manual lists max load of 59 g at 3100 FPS, out of a 26 inch barrel.

I’m doing good.. lol

they're good shooting rifles, I haven't shot mine a lot yet but it's been accurate. Here's back to back groups from a couple days ago with the 147gr ELDm over H1000 . Dropped mine into a McMillan A6

My next upgrade will be a Tac 21 .
Right now it’s stock with no brake.
Topped with a STAC 5-20

I think I could’ve done much better today but I was in a hurry, but I think I got something to work with.

I’m pretty sure I can go up a few more grains with the 8133 as well.
Recoil felt like a 223
