Help Please - Thickness Planer Rqd In London area for M/L Stock

Hi there,

Well, I'm building yet another muzzle-loader, and I am in the need of a thickness planer. My usual source for such things has moved away, and I was wondering if someone has one that could accomodate me (with appropriate financial compensation of course!) to scale down a fine piece of Walnut for a M/L rifle stock. (I need a good 3/4" removed, now around 2 1/2")
I'm in the London area, and can venture-out to the surrounding areas if need be.

If you factor in the cheek piece, you need over 2", I think you should go gentle with the planer. Far better to inlet the barrel then thin with a table saw.

Well, this is not a traditional stock by any means so throw-out any pre-conceived notions around cheek-pieces, etc.
I have a Green-Mountain barrel with an in-line action that will be fully inletted into the lower stock, with a rather ornate handguard. Top it off with P/Hale rear peep & tang sight and it's going to be one nice and very unique rifle when done.
