FWIW to anyone still in tracking-number-limbo with me, I received my shipping info from TI today (January 30th).

According to CP, the electronic info was submitted January 14th, and the parcel was first processed in Calgary on January 26th. Info emailed to me 4 days after that. Order #138**
 
For anyone looking to compare against others who've received info, order number 13827, got my tracking info Friday the 28th. Says the item was shipped on the 26th, will arrive on Tuesday, Feb 1. OR folder with sling and pic rail mount, no spare parts kit and no extra mags.
 
My order is 14###x and even though the shipping label was made on Jan-16 it finally got accepted in Canada post on Jan-30 and now in transit from Calgary to ON.
 
I emailed them regarding an update on my order and yeah it's going to take a couple more weeks.

"Not yet, unfortunately. Please allow us a few weeks to get through every
one’s orders as we sold the entire shipment all at once and therefore have
extreme volumes of orders to process, all at the same time. We are shipping
orders as they were received, however if your order was missing DOB/PAL
info, your order address did not match PAL address or the order was delayed
in payment (e-transfer), there may be a delay in your order processing
queue, as your order can only be processed once everything is complete and
verified."
 
Anyone with thoughts/knowledge about the Kobra sight? I just received an email saying that the picatinny mounts were over sold and that I will not be able to get one. There is an offer to upgrade to the Kobra sight. Honestly I was hoping to run an Lpvo on my type 81 when it arrives. Anyway my options are to do my own picatinny mount or get the Kobra unless anyone has a picatinny rail kit they do not want.

What are the plus/minuses of the Kobra sight?

I JUST got the same email in regards to the rail being sold out and upgrading to the cobra sight. Please if anyone has any suggestion if I should? For the inconvenience they did say I would get a $100 dollars off the price for the Kobra .

Please note that of you get the Kobra site you also get the Kobra side mounting rails, which has proven compatible with and allows mounting of certain other non-TI Eastern-bloc mounts, including some non-TI 1913 mounts. You should be able to search the forum for details.
