A Win Mod 94 "gold" commemorative rifle landed in my lap recently. No evidence its ever been shot, as confirmed by the original previous owner.
Years of dust and finger prints have accumulated on the gun.
I'd normally wipe it all down with a light oil and brush/wipe down inside the barrel, but a bit concerned with the "gold" plating. And when I say "gold" its a small g in quotes as I'm not convinced its real "Gold" (capital G).
So experts, what do I do with it? Light oil, rub off the marks and call it good, or something specific because of the coloured receiver?
No rust shows, action is crisp, smooth moving. Very clean inside, just dirty on the exterior.
Suggestions (I did look here for info before I posted this, but didn't see anything that match my query)?
