Vanguard re-bore to 416

My Vanguard is finally on it's way for a re-barrel to 416 Ruger in a 23" barrel I will be adding sights after it is returned, so now what scope to get, I am thinking something like a 1-4 or 5 in quick detach Warne or Talley as I have the XS low mount peep for Weaver bases. Suggestions? Budget is a little uncertain at the moment but I would appreciate ideas.

It will kill better because it is bigger, I know these things because that is what the internet says, what is wrong with you ? Do you not believe everything you read? I know the .458 is better because I own two of them, and I have never owned a feeble .416 mite as well get a .243.
 
I would re=barrel it, a rebore isnt offered as a service by many gunsmiths so the wait list is long, whereas a re-barrel can be done in a few weeks. I shot a 416 Rem Mag for several years, and man do they kill, and fast,,,I ran 300gr Noslers at over 2900 for moose and bears,,bang/flop,,no need for a 400 grainer in North America,,but if you run a 400g make it an epanding bullet, like a Partition, or a Sierra,,,no BarnesTSX, as they wont open on our game
 
Shot my first Elk with a rebarreled Fiberclass in .416 REM. It had just come out in 89-90. 300x at 2900. 30 years later I’m tiring out the Ruger. Doubt anything will notice 100 fps.
