im looking to buy a scope for a CZ452 .22 American. and from looking at scopes in wholesale sports the leupold VX-I 2-7x28 rimfire seems to fit the bill. it was $289 or so. it looked nice in the shop, but its hard to tell without actually using it on a rifle..

has anyone got one? any views on how good it is? any alternatives?

i really want 32mm or less scope, as thats the limit for the mounts i have. and that one seemed nice and bright. the only thing i think i might like is perhaps 9x mag. but then i think 6 to 7 times is what i use most so this one will do i feel.
will be used for informal targets, and gophers. probably up to 100 yards or so..

so any ideas?
thanks

I have a Weaver 2.5 x 7 - 28mm on one of my CZs, works real well for hunting. I like more power for target shooting and have several Bushnell Banner 4 x 12 - 40 AOs on my other .22s, they work great.

I just put a vx 2 3-9x33 efr on mine , which mounts are u going with?
ive got some low sportsmatch ones from the UK. seem to be a lot better than most available here unless you pay silly money.

isnt the EFR set for 150 yard parallax? the VX-I rimfires are set for 60 yards..
