I was just wondering as to the quality of the 1100's produced in the last couple of years. I have an older one that is great and was wondering if the production quality is still up to snuff.
 
There have been zero Remington Model 1100 produced in the last year or two.
Remington went bankrupt.
Buying a new one means buying new, old stock.
I have not heard of any Model 1100s from RemArms.

Yes, mine is "new old stock".

There was a batch of 1100, 870s and Tac-14s that made it into Canada last fall and after RemArms started production.

Some dealers still have a couple of 1100 in stock. However it is unclear if this is RemArms new production .... or if this shipment was sitting in some warehouse in the US for a year ...

People keep hoping for great things from RemArms, but there is no service infrastructure, no parts and no communication from this new enterprise, which appears to be severely under capitalized.
The initial production of RemArms was assembly of parts on hand, to produce the 870 Express.
There are many people anxiously awaiting parts for V3 and Versamax shotguns.
I only wish RemArms success, but their startup is not auspicious.

They have not made a new 1100 yet but plan to

They are beautiful guns indeed that work very well. I have the 28ga and wish I would have bought a 410 with it LOL:
 
Have several 1100 including a new Competition which has had a nagging trigger issue since new.The other 2 (1970's vintage) have been great .Won the champion of Champions in 82 with one and cannot sell it .:)

I shoot with a gentleman who swears by them too yet he fails to notice he holds us up at every shoot to swap guns or swap parts. We squad together at most shoots. He's a great fellow we all enjoy shooting with but if those of us that squad with him were seriously chasing averages to make the All-American Team requirements we would not be as his gun breakdowns are a major distraction. Last year in one 100 target sub-event he swapped guns three times. I shot a little over 4000 singles and handicap registered targets last season and never once did my TM1 fail me. I couldn't do that back in the day with my 1100T. We all have our likes and dislikes, the 1100 just wasn't one of my likes for a competition gun. Great for hunting and casual shooting at the range but when it's time to get serious it's time to trade up imo...:)

I have never tied up anyone EVER. Honestly but skeet
Trap were model 12, 870 's and superx1's for me
Maybe some guys should not own 1100's :) since yes one has to work on them from time to time

Every event is not " from time to time"... ;) You know even Big Leo switched to an unsingle combo Beretta in his later years of shooting. No denying he won a pile of shoots with his 1100, more than any other 1100 shooter ever but even he got tired of lugging a tackle box full of parts around from trap to trap and repairing his gun between or during events! :wave:
 
These accounts of 1100's not getting through 100 targets without a breakdown mean that the gun is worn out and changing parts is only extending the misery. I have no doubt my 1100 field grades would run 100, 200 or more targets with no issue.

Agree 100% Yep I have some here in 12ga that have 25,000 plus through them with a o ring and nothing more. My original pair of 69 skeet 28ga I bet more like 100,000 plus and just split one bolt on one and a few extractors and o rings nothing else

I take every 1100 or 870 or what ever shotgun In use all apart and I mean all apart after it is out if it fires one round of 200 . Always have and always will and never leave a worm or questional part in any of them

It is not the car it is the owner most times. Guess that is why I still drive my 68 impala in the summers LOL. How many can say that

Sounds to me like big Leo should have never owned a 1100. Too complicated for him LOL
