Some of these prices for the Savage model 10 and Rem700 seem crazy! If anyone has a rem700 for $300 I'll take it!

And I feel sorry for the guy paying $700 for a Savage 10 when a Rem700 is apparently half that lol
 
I agree with the averages posted so far, used guns seem to be inline with new...everything over priced in the last 18 months, new gone up 10-20% since 2020, used is equally ridicules. Low or zero supply for select guns make some gold on the used market.

Pull the barrel, take off the stock and sell the complete unbarreled action with bolt, recoil lug, trigger/trigger guard for $450, sell the parts for another $100.
 
It is difficult to rate anything without seeing it first hand ; but when a firearm is rated as " fair " , that reduces its value substantially as it could very well be worn to the point of being shot out .

NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards
NEW: Not previously sold at retail, in same condition as current factory production.

PERFECT: In New condition in every respect. (Many collectors & dealers use "As New" to describe this condition).

EXCELLENT: New condition, used but little, no noticeable marring of wood or metal, bluing perfect, (except at muzzle or sharp edges).

VERY GOOD: In perfect working condition, no appreciable wear on working surfaces, no corrosion or pitting, only minor surface dents or scratches.

GOOD: In safe working condition, minor wear on working surfaces, no broken parts, no corrosion or pitting that will interfere with proper functioning.

FAIR: In safe working condition but well worn, perhaps requiring replacement of minor parts or adjustments which should be indicated in advertisement, no rust, but may have corrosion pits which do not render article unsafe or inoperable
