Norczilla !

Hubby just got his NorcCQ/AR15 and it shoots all pretty, but he spotted an ad in Small Arms Review (lucky him that _I_ bought the copy for my own light reading at Shooting Edge the other day...) and he spotted and ad for Northridge International for and AR15 accessory set which includes a bipod, bandolier, stripper clips and guide, sling, stockset, and buttstock with or without (Vietnam-era) trapdoor - for $34. It got him all wet and stuff...

Thank God for the Canadian dollar!

Norczillas Thingy

Excuse me, Mr. chopper 1, I have a question. :D What is the thingy attached to the scope on Norczilla just in front of the turret knobs?

Its a flip up scope level - a bubble level visible above the scope image so u can hold the rifle exactly the same with each shot - needed cause scopes are above the bore line and a slight cant will print the bullet sideways .It really shrinks group sizes. I have one on my cz 858 and shoot under half inch with it at 100 yds. The scopelevel is made by scoplevel.

bathroom scale says 14 lbs - think it needs a carrying handle like a bren - oh no - more weight !

It is a nice rifle. What are you using it for? Benchrest?
If you think of using it as a CBR or hunting, you need to work on your muscles
now!

Carrying 14 lb all day is not fun, but with proper training it might
be ok.

NO WAY i'm gonna carry that frankenstein ! - got lottsa carry guns. NORCZILLA is strictly a table gun - to shoot the steel gong so I dont have to go home and beat the wife - lol ! ;)

What is the top rail?
PS: If you rewally wanna lose weight you should just bullpup it ...
or fill all the hollow stuff with helium.

Speaking as a guy that's spent a reasonable amount of time humping around a fifteen pound weapon (an LMG, not a fifteen pound rifle)....

Yeah...it's not fun. Beats a thirty pound weapon though :D
