I have ordered a Dominion 870 Grizzly. Just waiting for it in the mail. Has anyone got one yet? Anything good or bad about them? Do they take Remington parts. I would assume they do. Just wanting to see what everyone has to say about it. Looking forward to taking it to the range to try it out.

Received the Grizzly on the 23rd of Dec, a gift for my brother (thanks CANAM). Boxed up securely, wrapped in bubble wrap with the pistol grip in a separate bag.The pistol grip was marked with a chinese character and a 97, most likely factory 97? .The shotgun was well oiled for preservation, I disassembled it and found the fit and finish to be well done. I noticed it had a yellow hi vis shell follower. I cleaned it with CLP and oiled it with Hopps. At the range my brother and I fired it both with the stock and with the pistol grip. With the stock recoil was very manageable, however with the pistol grip it kicked like a mule like you would expect. Changing the stock with the pistol grip was very easy, took about five minutes. The ammo I used was both federal slugs and federal OO buckshot. I tried a different rem 870 barrel on it to see if it fit, no problem. We cleaned it after firing about 40 rounds, wasn't too dirty and little wear. I'm not a expert but it seemed accurate for a compact shotgun firing at a stationary body target at 10 meters. I noticed a five digit serial number, I would of figured a lower serial number for a new gun.
Sorry no pics.
Overall a nice shotgun for the price, easily to customise.
I recommend it without hesitation.

I'm glad to hear that they are descent. I am hoping mine will be here next week. It is definately a bonus that the rem. parts fit it.
I didn't know they came with a pistol grip. That might be interesting to try out.

Do an ADVANCED SEARCH of "DLASK 8.5in. barreled shotguns" there is lots to read on the subject. And the answer appears to be NO at the present.

Had mine out to the range today (I put a Knoxx SpecOps on it before shooting it, so I don't know what it is like stock).

I love it! Recoil is very soft with the Knoxx, action is very smooth. Only issue was the Knoxx got stuck in the compressed position on the first two shots, but never again after, I guess it needed some breaking in.

Managed recoil slugs were lighter feeling than 00 buck, but now I'm going to forget managed recoil slugs, because I don't think they're needed with my setup, and I want to see if there is an accuracy difference. I found my slugs were going 6 inches high and right.

My new favourite! If I had the space and cash, I'd buy a second for the safe!

Let me know what you think of it i'm curious myself. I've been looking at them but just not sure......... I looked at a norinco m-14 at williams in port perry and it was okay . I guess for the price you can't go wrong.

Mine just showed up. It looks good. You can tell the quality isn't the same as my 870 but not bad for $300. Parkerizing isn't as nice and the parts don't fit quite like the Remington. I am going to take it out on Friday and try it out. Can't wait. I think it will be a lot of fun to shoot. I will post more once I try it out.

This gun is more kind of a tough guy's tactical gun. The action is steel - I did magnet test with a industry magnet, what a mistake, I had hard time to remove it from the action!

And you should open the buttstock to have a look. You will see how thick the wall is. You can use the gun as door ram without any problem.

I will post a pic of the butstock inside after I come back from my business trip

Well I tried it out and I like it. I wasn't all that impressed with the grapefruit size ball of fire coming out the end after the first few shots. I was expecting something bigger. Then I switched to slugs (from bird shot). That made quite the difference. More like 2 1/2 foot long fire ball. It was neat. The friend I went with said I looked like a kid on christmas morning with a great big grin on my face.
It functioned flawlesly and was surprisingly accurate. I got a 7"-8" group at 50 yards and about 5" at 25 yards (this is an estimate from memory).
I am noticing that the parkerizing isn't all that durable. It seems to mark up very easily.
As Michaelsabre said it is very thick metal in the action. I haven't taken it appart to look but it has some serious weight to it.
Overall I think it is great for the money and would recoment it to anyone thinking about it.
