Tikka t3xlite scope set ups.

I'm Pretty straight forward. No need to be fancy or get a pair of proprietary 200$ rings for me.

Target rifle (T3X Varmint) - 20MOA rail from MDT and Vortex (no idea model) Rings since weight did not matter as much
Varmint rifle (T3X Lite) - MDT Rail and Vortex Viper Rings since they're lighter

I'm not a fan of the proprietary stuff. its expensive and just that, proprietary. I like to be able to move things around if I need to.

You can get them from an air gun retailer in canada, and on eBay too.

I tried the air gun place and they didn’t have any in stock. When I inquired if they could order me some they said they only order the models used on air guns. I ordered mine on EBay.

Micheal at www.tawnadoairguns.com is a Sportsmatch dealer. I’ve purchase several sets from him, and he’s fantastic to deal with.

I personally use the stainless optilock one piece rings, and would consider going with Spuhr's aesthetic line as an alternate. That interface option is too tempting if one wanted to run an acro as a secondary.

i like the area 419 rail with the pin or the talley lightweights depending on the setup. pic rail is nice if you’re like me and tend to move things around.

Nothing but good things to say about Talley

Had them on a half dozen Tikkas now.

Even lost a couple screws, Called them in SC. They sent replacements to me, For free, No shipping.

I have used talleys on probably 15 rifles. They are great and do the job, but I wouldn’t consider them robust. I’ve had a few bumps and bangs and had to adjust POI a couple times. I didn’t think I cared for DNZ but used them on the last 2 rifles and I would say they are slightly heavier, but superior to the talleys, due to 1 pc design for alignment, any of the screws work to hold the entire mount down, as opposed to just the front or rear. The aluminum is thicker on the rings also. Never happened to me but lots of pics on the internet of broken talleys. My primary use is on coyote rifles. If I was heading on a big trip or hunting the mountains I would likely choose something else for durability reasons.

My two current Tikka hunting rifles both have Warne direct mount rings that clamp the dovetail and the front ring has a recoil pin. I like these because the rear ring offers a lot of mounting location options, and they seem to be very robust. I recently dropped my rifle while removing the case from the back seat of my truck, not knowing the case was unzippered the rifle fell out and landed on the butt pointing straight up, then it tipped over and smacked down on the concrete curb of my driveway. After several choice curse words and a short but spectacular temper tantrum, I loaded back up and went to the range to check my zero. I was amazed as the POI had not shifted at all. Testimony to the rings and scope in my eyes.
