I was offered a large can of IMR SR 4756(12lbs) 900 shotgun primers & 200 rds of #2, 3'' steel shot! What is this worth? And what options will this powder reload rifle, pistol or shotgun?

Discontinued powder, in my Lyman shot shell reloading book. Many shotgun loads used this, not sure about pistol and rifles. I would think it’s worth at least what other powders are going for, maybe more for those who had favorite loads with it. Primers are running 6-8 cents roughly. So, overall $500+

It was a 20ga & 28 ga powder, some handgun cartridges powder primarily.

That single based powder is very versatile, also great for handgun loads like 9 and 45.

If you can use it all then it is worth about $500 but I would try to get the seller to come up with a price and if the seller insists on you to make an offer I'd probably start with 250 or 300.

That is an excellent pistol powder, a little slower than Power Pistol - similar to HS6. It can be used to make full power pistol ammo. BUT, it is a flake powder and does not work well in most powder throwers. It does work in a Dillon and a Lyman 55.

I load 12 gauge slug loads with SR4756.

It should be fine for those in 12 and 20 gauge (3in) but it isn't great for trap loads as it's a bit to slow.
