New shotguns, MAG-FED and SHORTIES - NEW PICS

These look great I despertly need a 8.5" mag fed PG shottie . Now I just have to figure on how to putthis in the monthly budget without the minister of Finance catching me embezzeling funds .....
Just have to remember that it is easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission .

Shorty

thats messed up, i cant believe these people are allowed to make decisions that run this country.

We're letting them do it.

If the conservatives get a majority, you can bet your arse that random stuff like this getting BANNED at a whim will stop.

This is what having so many years of liberals in gov will do to a firearms community...

if they deem them prohibited and have them destroyed do they remibursh all the gun owners that they confiscate from?
I was doing some reading on the legalese portions of the NFA website, and there are several references that Dave Tomlinson (we miss you Dave, God rest your soul) mentions about compensation following confiscation. I also seem to recall a clause in the Charter around protection of private property rights and compensation, but have no idea if it even applies in these cases or if that is just moot 'cause they can override it or what.
Regardless, I guess the idea is to never get to that point and (hopefully) appropriately resolved in our favour as lower court rulings.

Hey Chris,
I think I'm starting to go insane trying to find previously mentioned info in this 73-odd pages of thread!!.......:runaway:

Just to re-cap the situ for the Mag-Fed versions; pls correct where applicable:

- They will be available sometime spring/early summer
- Available in what barrel length? (14, 12.5 & 8??) Picture indicated above is what length?
- They will not have a folder, but a full-length pistol grip stock, & a pistol grip included?
- Price, as noted......around the $499 mark?
- Accessories will include one, or two mags, including what looks to ba a barrel heat shield?

Apologies in advance for making you repeat info already mentioned somewhere in here!!

Correct

At this time, 12.5' and 18.5". We don't have a firm answer on 8.5 mag-feds yet.

Don't know yet, but the 12.5 will definitely not have a folder.

No, more like 3-350.

1 mag, I can't say exactly for the other accessories.

I can't tell in any of the photos but is the top of the receiver round or is there the shallow sighting channel milled into it? I forgot to ask CanAm and lack the attention span to wait until mine arrives ;)

Cheers

EDIT: I just heard that it has the milled channel :) Colin who knows a thing or two about shotguns checked one out yesterday and was really impressed with the quality....I guess I'll have to wipe oil and drool off it once it arrives ;)

I know that these are an amazing deal and that most, if not all, Rem parts can be interchanged, but is there a warranty?

CanAm:

Before I forget, thank you for keeping us all up to date.

I appreciate its still early, howerver, and just out of curiosity, It was my understanding these(Mag fed) would be offered with 14" barrels as well (personal preference) has this changed.

Have you been able to pin down mag capacity, availability of additional mags (for those of us who are mag hores!!:evil::D), and preliminary mag pricing

Thanks for your time and look forward to your resposne.

regards and all the best

AbH

We will have 12.5 and 18.5, plus extra barrels, including 14"

5 rds, $30 each

Arrival is in April.

Chris:

Im sorry I was trying to use your skype but could not figure it out.

Thank you for the quick response and clarification.

The advantage here is in the 12 inch, as it has a larger mag capacity than a conventional shotgun.

Are there Future plans for mags with a larger capcity (somewhere between 7-8)

regards

Richard
