Two Bucks one shot Pic's

Thats amazing. Both of those deer had beautiful racks...
I think I would have to do the same thing in that position, never wanna see an animal sufering like that.

I sure hope he has a spare corner to mount both of those bucks locked up like that. There have sure been some spectacular animals harvested just in the last four years.

I bet those steaks will be yummy! LOL

I wonder how well a taxidermist would be able to cape and mount them...

Anyone ever seen a mount of 2 locked up bucks like that?

One of my hunting partners has a mount like that. Just got it back in Nov 07. Took over a year and a half to get it back from the local taxidermist. He and his brother own 13.5 quarter sections of land back home and a small group of us that grew up together hunt it all every year. Some good bucks around there.

The mount looks incredible and was done as a floor display with the bucks locked together. He's pretty shy about anyone taking pictures because the taxidermist said some collectors will pay a small fortune for it and he doesn't want his home broken into.

He got them about 400 yards from his farmhouse after seeing what he thought was a big buck feeding. He walked up and the big buck he thought he saw was behind a row of round bales. So he clicked of the safety and walked slowly around the bales to find one buck on the ground barely breathing and already showing signs of coyotes eating his hind end. The other was still full of fight. He had to kill the stronger one first and mercy kill the other.

Some paperwork from Fish & Wildlife was required and the officers took some pictures. Then off to the taxidermist with a big smile.
