Heritage Rough Rider Rancher Carbine 22LR - NON-RESTRICTED

I bought a 9 shot Rough Rider that came with a mag cylinder. I will use it on one of these one fine day. Missed out on this batch.
Would be interested to hear from buyers about flash back and lead debris from holding a revolver that close you your face. Both hands well back and shooting glasses for sure. There's a reason they never caught on.

I have one of these type , it’s an Uberti 45 colt and yeah it’s not the most fun thing to shoot
You do get some blowback in the face for sure plus it’s awkward to hold and get a cheek weld on
A 22 might not be so bad, I’d hate to shoot a 44mag one
They are cool as heck though!

Just opened it up, and it's nice. Didn't notice when I ordered but it comes with the sling.
Won't have a chance to get it to the range much before Wednesday though.

There is a little bit of flash back, but nothing major. I am glad I was wearing glasses

I bought the Rancher couple days ago.. i really like it. I use several very accurate rifles, anschutz and cz.. This little Rancher is probably my favourite firearm right now.. it just so small, light, easy to clean and really fun to plink with. I must admit , The blowback in the face can become annoying.

The straight line stock is also awkward if you intend to hold like a pistol. I wish there was a curve in the grip for a better one hand grip.

I love single action in general.

Maybe one day I will get my Rpal and buy a western army colt.. but until then this should work

I just hate all the restrictions involved with handguns. Atleast with the rancher i can #### that thing like a handgun and it is perfectly legal if you only have a pal

Im having hard time finding the 22 wmr cylinder though. The leather holster/sleeve is also impossible to find here in canada

But even if we can somehow get the wmr cylinder online, how dangerous would it be to swap the cylinder? I though each cylinders were unique to each revolver it comes with. That they require specific timing and could not be swapped without some serious gunsmithing work.,

I took mine out last night. Blast out of the cylinder gap is impressive for a 22. Get a little bit of crap in your face but not nearly as bad as say a sub 2000 shooting left handed.

What kind of .22 ammo are you guys using?
I'm wondering if cci quiets/subsonics would be less noticeable wrt blowback
