Thanks for joining appreciate company's willingness to field questions.

I have a couple.

6 vs 2 lug; what is the overall surface area of your 6 lug vs 2 lug. thinking about bolt throw and bag stability (upsetting the bag)
The bolt cocking RAMP on your action is longer for a smoother #### on close however i note the picatinny rail is further forward have you tested different scopes and had no concerns get proper eye relief.

Cheers
Trevor

Hi Trevor,
I'm not sure I fully understand the surface area question as linked to bolt throw and bag stability, but to clarify, we have two rows of 3 lugs so its a 90 degree bolt lift. We did this vs 60 degree so we get a 30% longer cocking ramp. We also added a roller in the cocking mechanism to eliminate friction between cocking mechanism/bolt body.. 90degree/30%longer ramp + roller is what makes it smooth and light, I think we measured bolt lift at 4 lbs. I think that's what will be the noticeable difference in cycling while shooting off a bag.
Regarding the scope rail, it appears shorter/further forward because we kept a lot of material on the receiver(for strength/rigidity) behind the bolt handle in comparison to a Remington, but its very similar in reality. I can measure the distance from the back of the scope rail to the tang screw to compare? That being said we'll probably add a 30MOA rail as well as longer rails to the product line in the future but they'll probably be longer on the barrel side. I hope that answers your question but I'd be happy to send you some pictures as well if that would explain it better.
Thanks, Kurtis

Hi KurtisS

The comparison i can use is 2 lug vs 3 lug. Three lugs without exception (thinking BAT actions)have more surface area than two lug. This additionally surface area causes greater bolt friction resulting in more force required to cycle the bolt. A consequence is that it disturbs the rifle in the bag both prs and F class. Your 4lb force is more in line with two lug

100% contact of all 6 lugs is an impressive accomplishment

I will measure my actions for a comparison

Cheers to new Canadian actions.

Hi Trevor, I understand what you’re getting at. I’ll let you know what the exact surface area is.. Appreciate it!

A comparison to this is the Barnard. It is a three lug action that you can operate with one finger. The bolt has virtually no wiggle when closed due to a tapered bolt and action.

No worries you gave a understandable answer with 4lbs of lift. with an 18 to 24lb rifle you would not have too much disturbance in the bags.

I re-watched a couple of shotshow videos and notice what appear to be a propitiatory picatinny rail, will you have rail options 20 - 30 moa.

off their website.

CNC machined from one solid piece of pre-hardened 416 Stainless Steel
A unique quick-release bolt shroud allows easy bolt disassembly for cleaning – no tools required
Ultra-smooth bolt cycling – less than 4 pounds to lift the bolt
6-lug design, with light and quick 90° bolt lift
Dual ejectors
Bolt face diameters available for a variety of calibers
Floating bolt head allows for an exchangeable bolt head
FEATURES
Pinned precision recoil lug included.
6 Lug floating bolt head for unmatched security and strength.
Interchangeable bolt heads for caliber selection.
Roller cocking piece for super light bolt lift that creates consistent and smooth bolt closing. No ‘####-on-close’.
Vertical bolt stop is virtually unbreakable – bears on receiver wall
Cylindrical action designed to remove material stress
Double ejection pins for more consistent and powerful ejection
Isotropic surface finish for enhanced smoothness
Replaceable bolt knob – standard 5/16-24 thread
90 degree bolt lift.
DESIGN
Thicker rear tang to avoid action distortion/bending
Thicker rear action screw threads for increased strength
Anti-bind design makes bolt cycling smoother
COMPATIBILITY
223 caliber actions are compatible with 17, 222, 223 Remington, 204 Ruger, and 224 Wylde.
308 caliber actions are compatible with 225; 243; 308; 284; & 358 Winchester, 22-250 & 7mm-08 Remington, 6mm BR, 250 & 300 Savage, 6.5 x 284 Norma, 6.5 Creedmore and 338 FED.
Accepts standard Savage pre-fit barrels for super-simple installation. (1.062/1.055 x 20TPI)
Accepts all standard Remington 700 triggers – no trigger hanger required.
Sako Extractor – larger than standard means no failures to extract.
Works with any Remington stock or chassis system.
Works with external magazine-fed and blind mag stocks.
Double pinned 20MOA Picatinny rail designed specifically for this action. (#8-40 screws)

I owned a Barnard and it required more force then my custom two lug. the Barnard IS a great action. near zero in PRS well represented in F class and Sling

Cheers

Trevor,
The action comes with a 20MOA rail, I think we will add 30 MOA as well as a longer rail that hangs off the front of the receiver for more eye box adjustability. Right now we're working on shouldered pre-fit compatibility, and a left hand model.
Thanks, Kurtis

Hey all,

So I count myself lucky as I managed to get a tour of the operation over at Pristine and I tell you its mind blowing! I happen to live/work super close and got the chance to take some photos for them and have to say I am looking forward to the Left Hands!

Here is start to finish!
