Winchester SuperX1

An older fellow that used to shoot skeet with us, bought a couple of high grade SX-1s from the Winchester rep many years ago. One ended up becoming a single shot, as it requires parts, that he couldn't locate, but the other one is still unfired in the box. He hasn't shot at all in the last year or so, so I am wondering if he is starting to sell ff any shotguns or not.

Ah come on! The 12G isn't too heavy for upland... Coming from the guy who keep on telling himself that a nice little 20g SxS would be nice...
- Maybe when I'm retired. But right now it seems like the number of hunting days VS shotguns VS ammo on hand, doesn't make sens (if there is anything that needs to make sens when it comes to firearm)

Had this saved in my list of "maybe the SX1 would look nice with some engraving"
- Belongs to Baron23 over on SniperHide, engraving was done by Ken Hurst

Nothing one cannot get for a superx1 to fix
An o ring a buffer , extractor and a spring takes care of 95%. The one in the box is worth serious money pending the grade and series
There is a stage 3 skeet here in the box I have been chasing for 25 years dude is now 80 and still won't sell it but says it is mine . Ya Ok I say
Cheers

It is beautiful
Thanks for sharing. My dad bought three when they first came out for us boys and we had many after. They were very popular here and he sold a lot of them in his shop
Best semi ever made PERIOD even to 2022 those that have one and know anything about guns know this
I Kept four and sold four here when I joined. The four I kept will die with me and my favorite is a skeet model I had briley install thin wall tubes in a skeet barrel
Cheers

I posted that he couldn't find the part, not that I couldn't. lol He is not very good at sourcing parts, or keeping his shotguns running, and his handloading is even worse, but he did accumulate some very nice shotguns, mostly higher grade Winchesters. He is over 80, and started complaining about his vision, then just stopped showing up, so I have no idea if he is selling, or just holding on to what he has.
