Of all the pre64 winchester model 12's in 12 ga is there one that stands out as the best? Not the rarest but best built??

I've handled and shot a few pigeon grade model 12's and in my humble opinion they are the best. I never see them for sale but I will own one some day.

They are all best built as stated if not molested . WS1 target guns in 20 gauge with Duckbill rib and WS1 in 16 gauge with a solid rib . A 28 gauge factory rib gun but almost a impossible dream . Also my imposter model 12 M42 ribbed gun is a keeper.

Pre WW2 guns are better fit and finished. BUT all including the post '64 Y guns are very nicely built.

I have a odd one model 12 Trap built in 1965 with pre 64 parts . Winchester called them transition guns . They were not Y guns. Winchester cleared out parts .
