I'm a little curious to know if there are any dealers in Canada that currently have (in stock!!) a 14" wingmaster barrel... I'm doing a build slowly and the NEA 12" tube I bought forever ago doesn't mate with my receiver - most likely a 1956 production gun according to the date code so I'm wondering if it is a little tighter than modern guns, hopefully a legit Remington tube will fit properly.

I have an early Wingmaster - about the same period (pre-alpha serial number) and 14 inch Remington barrels fit perfectly, Norc barrels don't fit at all. The finish on my 14 inch tubes suck though. Actual 14 inch Wingmaster barrels are very rare, you might find a blued finish police 14, but I've only seen pictures of 14 inch Wingmasters. A member here has one he was going to sell, but I think he kept it due to its rarity.

I'm curious regarding the differences between a WM 14" blued barrel and a Police 14" blued barrel. I also have never seen a 14" WM barrel. I can say that the bluing on my 2012-ish Police barrel perfectly matches my 1978-ish WM receiver:

To the original question, I doubt anyone has new Remington 14" 870 barrels in stock in Canada or the US. Given how long Remington has been shut down after the break up and sale of the company, many oem 870 parts are unobtainable. The company that was my go to in the US for oem Rem 14" barrels is completely out of stock of barrels (in any length), and only has a limited selection of small parts. Dlask is probably your best bet, as they tend to do limited runs of 14" barrels once there are enough orders.

Yeah, the barrel is too big to fit into the receiver.

My 14” nea barrel was like that, I lightly dressed the area with a file till it snuggly slid in. The nea barrel is heavier walled than most so there’s plenty of meat to it and light filing doesn’t negatively affect anything, in fact I’m guessing a tight fit will help accuracy. Like when people pin a rifled slug barrel to the receiver to reduce any barrel movement from one shot to the next.

Take it to your local gunsmith or a friend with a lathe, it can probably be made to fit in mere minutes. I've had to do this on more than one after market 10/22 barrels
