I am looking to casually start participating in the local IPSC practices in my area and want to use one of my revolvers; S&W 686+ (7-shot) 6", or 610 6.5". The problem I am running into is that I can't find an entry level (cheap) holster for either revolver. I bought a Size 3 Uncle Mike's for the 686+ based on their size chart and what came in would not be IPSC legal. It fits the 686+, but it leaves the trigger guard completely exposed. I found the CR Speed Universal holster, but it turns out it's not that universal and can't find any online reports that it works with either of the revolvers I want to use. Even Blade Tech does not have anything that would fit.
Does anyone know what number size of Uncle Mike's would fit the 686 or 610 (L-Frame and N-Frame respectively) while covering the trigger guard?
Anyone know of any affordable speed holsters that fit L and N Frame revolvers?
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Update: Amazingly, I found a CR-Speed Revolver holster used. Now I am set for any revolver.
Thanks Guys!
