Managed to loose the steel ball used for balancing/adjustment from the scale arm. Anyone know where I can get a replacement or if could use something like a slingshot ball instead? What size, weight etc.

Contact Lee to see if they will send you a new beam...

Every notch this ball is moved equals 10 grains. The ball poise is astainless steel non-magnetic ball. Never remove this ball or replaceit with a "ball bearing." This ball is specially made to exteme, uniform tolerances from one "heat" of metal to assure uniform andexact weight.

Not an answer to your question but I suggest buying a scale made by ohaus instead, like a lyman, rcbs or ohaus.
Used ones in good shape you can find for 50-70 bucks.

But not as accurate as a LEE scale. Quicker, yes.

11.11mm
one weighs 88.1grains the other 87.6gr

I have a spare, not sure if canadapost would take it in a padded envelope

edit: yes you can use anything that doesn't move in the "pocket" and weighs approx 88grains
