Trying to find the going rates of various prohibited handguns. Granted prohibs have very low prices compared to their restricted counterparts.

Uberti:
1848 Pocket
1849 Pocket
1849 Wells Fargo
Derringer

Colt:
New Line 32

Steyr:
1902

It's a small, very niche market now... the youngest OIC 13 / 12.5 prohib owners turn 49-50 this year I believe. These guys (me included in this) pretty much have what they are looking for at this point, especially since the guns have to be surrendered for destruction (if not eligible for reclassification) on the death of the owner.

Unless it's a specific "wish gun" , the buyers are waning away from these items / market and as such the value is fading faster every year. If it's a firearm of some value then the best price may be obtained by selling it abroad depending on the associated fees.

Again, unless it's on on a CDN buyer's absolute "must have list" you aren't getting much for prohibs now REGARDLESS of condition... the market just isn't there anymore. Just my $0.02.

Lugers, PPk are fetching O.K. pricing, Online auctions are bring good money for Quality 12-6, but not for small revolvers and that will include the New Line 32
Center fire 357m , 44 mag in short barrels are selling O.K., but you are still at 40-50% discount.
If you want exact prices, go look on past auctions for Switzers, Wards, etc on I collector, and you will see what stuff is selling for.

There is great demand for Deringers, but most is from young guys that don't have 12-6

Auctions are the best place to check. Not sure what a Steyr 1902 is...

For Colt New Line:

icollector DOT com/search.aspx?q=colt%20new%20line&p=1&ps=20&is=0&ex=0&so=15&sf=1&hi=0&lo_c=1

And you can play with the search for your other stuff.

(See my signature btw, if you post the Colt here, expect to hear from me)

What model Steyr pistol do you have exactly? I am not familiar with the 1902 - do you mean a 1908 or Steyr Pieper?

These aren't my guns, they are guns we are getting as part of an estate. No idea what the Steyr is, the registration simply lists the model as a 1902.

Yup, and the pool of available buyer is only getting smaller... So on that part, I guess the gov. plan of winning-by-attrition is working...

I think that some of the hi prices on Switzers and such are for guns going south where it don't matter about barrel /caliber
Last year I was tracking some sales and seen buyers from US. Mind you there are certain guns they can't import.

I've got so much to say about this that it sours my lips.....................
and its ALLWAYS because of a %#** Liberal Govt

this is my second time around living under the trudeau communist Family !
F^&*k ..dont people LEARN FROM HISTORY ????????
